5. Region-specific behaviour
Visitors from the EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Brazil see an opt-in banner: non-essential cookies stay off until accepted. Visitors from the US and Canada see an opt-out banner, including a "Do not sell or share my information" choice for California (CCPA/CPRA). All other regions see a notice-only banner with the same preferences modal available.
